Strength Test – Because the strength of cement cannot be directly defined, it is indirectly defined by the compressive strength. This guarantees a strong and durable cement mixture.
Consistency Test – Vicat testing is used to determine the softening point of cement mixes. This analysis works to determine the standard consistency of the paste.
Fineness Test – The finesse of cement can be determined either by a sieve test of an air permeability test. This value is relevant to the mix’s rate of hydration, rate of evolution of heat as well as its rate of gain of strength.

Chemical Composition Test – Because the cement mixes require such carefully controlled portions, many different tests are conducted to determine that there is a correct chemical composition. These are essential to confirm the mix was properly produced and controlled.
